So the reason why I haven’t been engaging with the community lately is because I have a little sickness and not feeling my best so I’m just waiting to get better. Nothing big so don’t worry, have a good one :)

I've been spending time on some older ideas and there's been some interesting ideas for it. That idea in question is for an alien grim reaper and I actually drew him on here actually! Originally, it felt like a comic idea but after a little mind mapping lead to the possibility of it being a short film or a game. I think making it an action stealth game might be interesting since he harvests souls to purgatory so it could have a Hitman and Hellboy mix to it. Now about the burn out...

It has been a bit of a challenge spending time with ideas and also doing the gesture drawing routine at the same time. Mostly, it was because I was thinking of each idea as a professional thing when I should really be doing smaller things and be more loose. That and the habit of comparing my work with other people has been briefly kicking in which has been affecting my confidence. Either way, it will eventually pass and filling in my art gallery and 3D Niche board has been good!

I have finally joined an art collab, I've been very excited to make something with the community and now I'm finally doing it! The collab in question, is the 34th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog. This is hosted by TheOve, go check them out as they're very talented and it's a fun time! Entry deadline is the 20th of this month so you got six days away and there's not a lot of Sonics available.

Yesterday I was dealing with a brief moment of art block and imposter syndrome. I tried to draw some TMNT stuff and it barely got passed the sketch. At some point, Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer came on and I absolutely love the music video so I thought I'd remake the profile banner be inspired from it. It was perfect too since the original banner was very messy and took a lot of resizing but now it's really flashy.

So currently, I am writing on a project and has to start fresh! I read the outline for the teaser of the pilot and it was too short and not to mention how abrupt everything is. So, I tried to rewrite it so it introduced the main characters and gives all the important information in a fun and readable way. Only worry I have, is accidently making the pacing go off. It's going to be 28 and a half minutes so I'm making sure that the first two minutes is as engaging as possible. Once the story is fully written, I'll be able to talk more openly about it. other than that, I don't have much other than struggling with inspiration for drawing and imposter syndrome creeping up.

Aside from that, here is my new profile picture!

Still working out the kinks of my OC and maybe do some branching out in terms of design.

First day of the week and another week in this awesome community! Today I found an interesting brush for Krita on the VeilArt Discord Server and it's really good actually! There were some new texture brushes and pencils that I found which were interesting to test with.

Still in pre production on my series Free Rangers and haven't been able to write on that yet as the ideas for MugShot Mascots came up and that might be fun to try and work on those.

I'm on day 30 of my gesture drawing routine and yesterday turned out alright.

So I just had a thought seeing how I want to be more active in the community. What artists inspire you that you would like to suggest?
